Tem estado uns dias maravilhosos por estes lados. Temos que aproveitar! Sol, temperaturas altas e mar excelente...era impossível não me armar em Barbie e correr para a praia assar que nem um frango do Pingo Doce. Não há coisa melhor do que passar horas ao Sol, sem fazer nada, quase que a tocar no sono e a dar um ou dois mergulhos. Vida boa!
Como sou uma desenvergonhada sem solução tive o mês de Julho todo a usar o protector solar dos outros por mera preguiça de ir ao supermercado comprar o meu. No entanto, a minha colega comprou recentemente o novo protector solar da Garnier, o Golden Protect e é fenomenal. Arranjei imediatamente vontade de ir comprar um para mim" Sou assim, se os outros têm eu também tenho de ter. O manhoso do protector realmente faz o que promete e deixa a pele dourada e brilhante. No dia seguinte, depois de um longo banho, os brilhantes e a cor ainda estavam lá.
Adoro quando os produtos realmente fazem aquilo que prometem. Recomendo!
These last few days have been wonderful when it comes to the weather. We're taking advantage as much as we can! Sun, high temperatures and an excelent sea...it was impossible for me not to act like a real Barbie and take my stuff to the beach to grill there like a chicken. There's nothing better than spending hours enjoying the sun, with nothing to do, almost falling asleep and one or two dives once in a while. That's life, right there!
Also, since I've no shame at all, I basically spent almost the entire month using other people's sunscreen, just because I was too lazy to go buy my own at the supermarket. However, my friend recently bought a new sunscreen, the new one from Garnier, the Golden Protect. It's phenomenal! No need to say that I easily found some strenght to go buy my own. I'm just a little kid, if others have I need to have it too. The damn sunscreen really does what its package promises and leaves your skin all gold and sparkling. The next day, after a long bath, my skin was still gold and with some sparkles.
I just love when the products actually do what was promised. I totally recommend you!

Tirando um ou outro acaso, o terceiro dia de Marés Vivas não podia ter corrido melhor. Trouxe t-shirts e um braço pisado como lembrança. O balanço é positivo. Os concertos, em comparação com os dias anteriores, foram melhores e bem mais divertidos. Só é realmente uma pena a existência de pessoas que parecem não saber que o festival é grande o suficiente para ter sítios mais próprios para se conversar. Passar um concerto inteiro a falar e a gozar com as bandas que estão a tocar não é o que chamo propriamente de inteligência e maturidade. E atenção que estamos a falar de pessoas adultas, formadas e que algumas delas são supostamente professores! É natural que saiba destas coisas já que fui obrigada a ouvir a vida toda da senhora que parecia estar num estado intermédio entre a menopausa e a bebedeira.
Except one or two things, third day of Marés Vivas couldn't have gone better. Brought home some t-shirts and a dark spot on my arm as gifts, but the final balance is positive. The concerts, when compared to the previous days, were way much better and funnier. It's only a pity the fact that there's people who don't seem to realize the festival is big enough to have proper spaces where you can talk. Spending an entire concert talking and making fun of the band playing isn't really what I call a smart and mature move. And we're actually talking about adult people, with college degrees, some of them even teachers! Of course I know these things since I had to listen to their conversations during the whole concert. The woman was acting like a little girl, in a state between menopause and being drunk.
1ª actuação, Ebony Bones:
Por momentos dei por mim a interrogar-me se o Cirque du Soleil tinha sido convidado. Não é muito a minha onda e o som não era dos melhores. Sendo assim só ouvi mesmo duas ou três músicas dos senhores, depois fui mesmo fazer a minha actividade favorita que é comer.
At first I asked myself if Cirque du Soleil was invited. It's not really my thing and the sound wasn't the best. I only listened 2 or 3 songs of them and then went to do what I do best, eat.
2ª actuação, Os Azeitonas:
Foi giro. Por algumas vezes mais parecia que estava a ver um programa da SIC mas o final do concerto foi bastante interessante.
It was nice. A few times I felt like I was watching some tv show but the end was quite interesting.
3ª actuação, Billy Idol:
Quando vi o Senhor entrar em palco juro que perguntei se estava a ver um concerto de Tokio Hotel, 40 anos depois. É que as semelhanças no estilo deste senhor são completamente iguais ao do outro Bill mais júnior. O Sô Billy até usou uma t-shirt com a cara dele por isso deve ser mesmo "uma coisa de Bills". Este senhor provou que idade não tem sempre que ser um emplastro. Deu um concerto muito bom, não tão bom como eu pensava que seria, mas mesmo assim muito bom.
When I saw him entering the stage I actually asked myself if I was watching a Tokio Hotel concert 40 years later. The similarity of his style with the one Bill-Júnior has is astonishing. Billy even wore a shirt with his face on it so it must be really a Bill thing. This man proved how age don't have to be an obstacle. He did a really great show, not as great as I thought it would be, but still REALLY good.
4ª actuação, Gogol Bordello:
LINDO! Já tive oportunidade de os ver no Coliseu do Porto, para felicidade minha, mas ontem não ficaram nada atrás. Estes senhores nunca desiludem e conseguem colocar o público inteiro a dançar, cantar, gritar e saltar do princípio ao fim do concerto. Chega ao ponto que é uma autêntica festa cigana gigante mas é simplesmente maravilhoso. Se existem bandas que nunca desiludem, esta é uma delas! Mas já tocavam a "American Wedding" cá no Porto, pah...
BEAUTIFUL! I had the chance to see them at Coliseu do Porto (lucky me!) but last night was a very close tie to the previous concert. This dudes never disappoint me when it comes to make a crowd dance, sing, scream and jump since the beginning of the show until de very end. It comes to the point when it gets closer and closer to a big gipsy party but it's simply wonderful. If there's bands who never disappoint us, this is one of those! I just wish they would finally play "American Wedding" here in Porto, damn...
O dia 2 foi um bocado conturbado no que toca às pessoas que resolveram aparecer pelo Cabedelo. Vários seres que por lá andavam pareciam saídos de um filme "Alice no País dos Labregos". Também encontrei uma jovem a limpar constantemente o nariz e a olhar durante os 5 minutos para o que tinha tirado. Verdade, verdadinha! Moços já bastante tocados pela bebida que se roçavam completamente e apalpavam. Não esquecendo é claro daquele tipo de pessoas com cabelo de palha a esfregá-lo na tua cara.
No fundo, tirando isso tudo, no geral, o dia 2 até foi bastante melhor que o primeiro.
Day 2 was a little bit messy when it comes to people who decided to show up at Cabedelo. Many people seemed like they were taken from an "Alice in the Dorkland" movie. There was a girl always cleaning her nose all the time and looking at what was taken for like...5 minutes. True story! We also had young men, quite touched by the beer, rubbing themselves and touching you. And lets not forget those with very straw hair which was always going against your face.
But, all in all, it was still a better day than yesterday.
1ª actuação, GUN:
Não vi porque estive entretida a dançar na barraca da LIPTON durante quase três horas. Mas tenho a certeza que são boas pessoas!
Didn't see it because I was too entertained at the LIPTON tent, dancing for almost three hours. But I'm sure they're great people.
2ª actuação, The Cult:
Era uma das bandas que queria mais ver mas, infelizmente, perdi o inicio do concerto porque, já que estive tanto tempo a dançar na barraquinha do Iced Tea, e a fazer figuras tristes, na altura deste concerto estava sim a encher o estômago. Mas vi as últimas músicas e, junto ao que ouvi quando estava nos quartos-de-banho de lá, foi muito bom!
Também preciso no entanto comentar o facto de que estes quartos-de-banho, nos seus piores dias, continuam melhores que qualquer outro que encontre em alguma Queima em território português. E é sempre uma experiência fenomenal estares lá, a fazer o que tiveres a fazer, enquanto ouves The Cult. Diria que se encaixa numa nova experiência fora deste mundo...
It was one of the bands I wanted to see the most but I didn't see it from the beginning because, since I was dancing and making a fool of myself for so long, at that time I was basically eating anything I could. But I saw the last songs and, together with what I heard when I was in the toilets, it was GREAT!
I also have the need to point out the fact that the toilets from this music festivals are still way better than those we find at any "Queima", even in its worst days. And it's always a wonderful new experience to listen The Cult while you're there doing your own thing. Quite an experience out of this world, I must say.
3ª actuação, Garbage:
Opá, gosto da moça. Gosto do instrumental. Gosto de duas ou três músicas por inteiro. Mas continuo a achar que a maioria das letras deles se aproximam a algo escrito por miúdos de 15 anos a tentar serem rebeldes. De qualquer das formas ainda se encaixam no nível positivo no que toca a surpresa. Não pagava para os ver em exclusivo mas gostava bastante de ser tão jeitosa como a vocalista.
Well, I like the girl. I like their sound. I like two or three songs of them. But I still find most of their lyrics something which seems it was written by 15-years-old teens trying to be rebels. Anyway, they were still a positive surprise. I wouldn't pay to see them live on their own but I would pretty much like to be as hot as the lead singer.
4ª actuação, Kaiser Chiefs:
Uma palavra: PERFEITO! Conhecia as músicas deles mas andava a adiar e a adiar a ida a um concerto deles. Não podia ter cometido maior pecado. Foram de longe os melhores e até mesmo aqueles que não gostam muito deles saem de lá com uns grandes pontos extra no que toca a admiração. O Ricky é simplesmente um furacão do entretenimento e os concertos deles são uma mistura de boa música, surpresa e divertimento. Adorei e espero ter oportunidade de os ver novamente....
One word: PERFECT! I knew some of their songs and I was delaying and delaying going to a concert. Oh, what a sin! They were, by far, the best ones. Even those who aren't big fans of them, get out of there surprised and admiring them. Ricky is simply an hurricane of entertainment and their concerts are a mix between good music, surprise and fun. I loved it and I hope I'll have an opportunity so see them again...
Para mim torna-se difícil dizer o que até agora foi o melhor do Marés Vivas: Barraca da Lipton vs Brindes da EDP.
I find quite difficult to decide what was the best thing about Marés Vivas until now: the Lipton Tent vs Goodies given by EDP.
1ª actuação, The Sounds:
Não consegui encontrar ainda um vídeo da actuação desta banda. Não estou surpresa, podia contar pelos dedos das mãos o número de pessoas que lá estavam e que se mostravam interessados em ouvi-los. Não são propriamente maus mas, não foi a melhor escolha tendo em conta o público interessado nas outras bandas. Poderiam tê-los colocado no palco Moche que não se perderia grande coisa.
Didn't find any video from their performance last night. I'm not surprised since I could count with my fingers how many people were there to actually see them play live. They weren't that bad but I don't think it was a wise choice according to the other bands playing that night and what type of persons they attract. They could have played at the Moche stage, it wouldn't hurt anyone.
2ª actuação: Wolfmother:
Gosto desta banda e gostei de os ver em palco. Não sendo a maior fã de riffs longos obviamente que não fui uma fã em total descontrolo pré-orgasmico mas foi um bom momento. Foi só uma pena os notórios problemas de som.
I like this band and I liked what I saw on stage yesterday. I'm not a huge fan of long riffs so, for obvious reasons, I wans't a fan in total uncontrolled pre-orgasmic state when they did it last night. And it was a shame all the sound problems easily noticed.
3ª actuação, Franz Ferdinand:
De longe o meu favorito da noite. Foi só realmente uma pena que tenha sido tão curto tendo em conta que eram cabeças de cartaz. Foi notório que a grande maioria estava lá para os ver e não desiludiram, pelo menos, no que toca à escolha das músicas. Passaram as vistas por todas aquelas mais conhecidas do público geral, o que acabou por permitir uma maior resposta.
My favorite of the night, by far. I just wanted it to be a little bit longer since I found it too short for someone who was a headliner. It was quite obvious a big amount of people were there because of them and they definitely didn't disappointed, at least when it came to the playlist. They played most of the songs the public knows the best and it led to a great feedback in return.

Hoje é dia de Marés Vivas. Comprei bilhete geral porque havia pelo menos uma banda que gostava em cada um dos dias e, principalmente porque o bilhete geral custa tanto como um bilhete diário em qualquer outro festival mais conhecido.
Escolher a roupa neste caso não foi mera futilidade. Neste momento está um calor bom de Verão mas, os planos são para ficar por lá até às 5h da manhã, mais coisa, menos coisa. Quem vive no norte sabe bem que as noites são tudo menos quentes. Umas sapatilhas, calças, tshirt e camisa já devem dar muito bem para o gasto.
Today is Marés Vivas' day, for those who never heard about it, it's a music festival. I bought a all-days-ticket because basically there's at least one band that I like playing every day. And because buying tickets for all the days of this festival is still cheaper than buying a ticket for any other festival around here.
Choosing the clothes to wear, on this case, was more than a small futility. Right now there's still this summer weather during the day but we're planning on staying there until around 5a.m. Those who live in the north of Portugal know how cold it can get. A pair of sneakers, jeans, a denim shirt and a dark top hopefully will do...
Provavelmente não repararam mas hoje foi dos dias mais quentes do ano. Coisa que facilmente passa despercebida, certo? Decidi portanto passar umas horinhas na praia. Sendo assim, peguei em toda a minha tralha, que consiste numa enorme orgia de cor-de-rosa, e fiz-me à vida.
Não é preciso dizer que a praia estava completamente cheia de gente, não corria ponta de vento, o Sol estava forte e....resultado, tenho uma ligeira queimadura do lado esquerdo da minha cara. É de uma sensualidade extrema...
Apesar de haver por aí muita boa gente com dificuldade em diferenciar "moreno" de "queimaduras solares que vão provocar cancro mais tarde", pele queimada não está, nem estará, na moda. É por estas e por outras que estou irritada comigo mesma!
You probably didn't notice but today was one of the hottest days of the year. It's just something that goes easily unnoticed, right? Since the weather was so good I decided to spend a few hours at the beach. I took all my stuff, which consists of a big pink orgy, and went for it. I don't even have to say the beach was completely full of people, there wasn not even a small sign of wind and the sun was stronger than usual. The result...half of my face is now slightly sunburned. Oh, so sexy... Despite those people who don't seem to understand the difference between being tanned and burning their skin so cancer can give them a visit later on their lives, burned skin is not IN nor COOL, and it will never be. It's because of this (and some other reasons) that I'm mad with myself!
